皆さんこんにちは、ライズの佐藤です。このProFileに参加する前から、AllAboutさんには登録してあり、定期的にメルマガも頂いておりました。その中で「企業のIT活用」ガイドの水谷哲也さんの記事迷惑メールが減らない3つの理由を読んで、数字的にスパムメールの社会への浸透がここまで来ているのか。と、ちょっと複雑な気持ちです。
実際に仕事でもプライベートでもメールを利用し、ニュースや連絡を受けていますが、ISPのサーバーに届くメールの内85.5％がスパムメールでした。昔からこのスパムメールには悩まされ、3年ほど前からPOPFileと言うオープンソースの振り分けソフトを使っており、そのコントロールページで確認した数字です。
水谷哲也さんの記事を引用させていただきますと、
イギリスにあるセキュリティ企業Marshalが行った調査ではインターネットユーザーの29.1％が迷惑メール経由で商品を購入した経験があると回答しています。なんと3割近くで、思っていた以上に迷惑メールは商売になるようです。
先ほどの約54億通の出会い系サイトの迷惑メールを送って逮捕された日本人は1カ月で約1億2000万円もの収益をあげていました。
2006年6月に大阪府警が摘発したワンクリック詐欺事件では大阪市のネットサービス会社の社長と従業員ら計6人が韓国のレンタルサーバーを使い、1億8000万件の迷惑メールを送信していました。約2600人が詐欺にあい、約7500万円が口座に振り込まれていました。
供述によると｢迷惑メールを100万通送ると1,000人がサイトを訪れ､10〜20人が金を払った｣ということですので、1,000人に一人がサイトをクリックし、0.001〜0.002%の人が詐欺にあう計算になります。
引用で2ブロック目の約54億通の〜では、どのくらいの期間の記述はありませんが、出会い系サイトで成約された場合の報酬が、一件1,500円〜 2,000円と言われていますので、1ヶ月で8万人がこの人のスパムメールからサイトに成約したことになります。ワンクリック詐欺で被害にあった割合が、 0.001％〜0.002％と有りますので、送ったメールの量は80億〜40億通（計算間違っていないよな？）。
まっとうな世界での営業活動で、DMやチラシなどを配布しますが、成約率はどのくらいの数字が上がっているのでしょうか、これは聞いた話ですので、エビデンスとしての確実な数字ではありませんが、DMを1,000通送り、内990通はゴミ箱直行、残り10通の内成約できるのは1〜2人。チラシ 10,000枚撒いて9,999枚がゴミ箱、成約が1人程度とすると、成約率は0.1〜0.01％・・・。イニシャルコストが小さいだけにスパムメールの成約率の高さが、他のメディアと比較することで理解できます。
毎日これだけ送ってきて、各国で規制されても減らないわけですね。
