男でも女でも生き方が「かっこいい」と感じる人がいる、反対に「ウワッ、だっさーい。野暮だね」と思う人もいる。
商品でもそうだ、プレミアムブランドと普遍的なブランド、それの差ってなんだろう、って考えてみた。
ほら、一応仕事がねブランディングなんかも含まれているので。
日本人だからか、潔いという言葉が最初に思いついた。
潔い生き方、潔い辞め方、桜の花に人気があるのも「潔い散り方」だからと説明する人もいる。
生き方の美学？一言で言ってしまえば「武士道」なのでしょうか。
「武士道といふは死ぬ事と見附けたり。毎朝毎夕、改めては死に死に、常住死身になりて居る時は、武道に自由を得、一生越度なく、家職を仕果たすべきなり。」（山本常朝、『葉隠』）
常に己の生死にかかわらず、正しい決断をせよと説いたのだが、死んでも幽霊にすらなれない武士が、現世に命乞いしまでして生き延びるのではなく、限りある生を賭けてでも正しいことをせよ。
と言う有限の命の中での決断が「かっこいい」と感じさせるのだろうと。
反対に無限の命だとどうなのだろう、命を賭しての決断はなくなるよな、永遠の命なんて賭の対象にすらならない、貴重な命じゃなく、どこにでも大量にある海岸の砂みたいで、安っぽいものになるんだろうな。
かっこよく生きようとするには、有限という気持を心に持ちつつ、正しいと思う、責任を持つ生き方をせよ。
野暮でかっこ悪い生き方は、生き方に目的も節目も持たず、いつまでもモラトリアムの中で、ダラダラと生きることなのでしょうか？、早く大人になれよってか。
だいたい金やダイヤモンドみたいに、数が限られるから貴重であり、高価なんですよね。
かっこいいとかっこ悪いの根底には、有限と無限という概念があるのでしょうが、その間にある（だろう）ボーダーラインは、個人差やその時代の価値観があってハッキリと線は引けない。
経済成長率が高く、物価もインフレでドンドン上がっていた頃は、高価なもの、性能の高いものにプライオリティが高かった。
しかしいまでは小さいもの、効率の高いもの、再利用できるものなどがもて囃されるようになっている。
オピニオンリーダーとして、サブカルチャーの牽引役だった雑誌も、販売部数の低迷で休刊や廃刊が続いているが、地下鉄内の中吊り広告には「セレブのこのファッションを狙え」みたいな記事を堂々と謳っていた。
今どきまだモノの呪縛に囚われ、コンシュマーをリードする情報が「消費」じゃ、読者からそっぽ向かれてもしょうがない気がする。
いまの若い子達が考えている事とズレている気がする、セレブがまだ格好いいと思っているのだろうか、雑誌が売れればそう考える需要もあるのか、でもキレイなタレントが大きく出たこの中吊り広告を見て「この雑誌ダッセー！」と感じたのは事実である。
